Moon in Scorpio: 1000 Ways to Die on Spike TV

Spike TV has unveiled a new series bluntly named 1000 Ways To Die, showing a couple ways every week ranging from the quick and dirty to the silent but deadly.  As graphic as it is, this show pulls my morbidly curious Saturn-Mars conjunction in Scorpio to see what happens, and the fact that each different way to die is preceded by a time, place and person – perfect for the execution of a fateful transit.

The show does not put them into any specific order, so the numbers will be random, it appears as if Spike plans to air all 1000 ways to die.  The evening I first caught this show, I witnessed Way to Die #629… “Sex Ray”

The content displayed here is very graphic and must not be attempted by anyone.  If you try anything you see here, YOU WILL DIE

Once the torrent is done, I’ll put up the charts and examine to see if there is a relationship between the dates, events and the transits – Like a deathly Horary question asking “How Will I Die?”  Here is a snippet of one of these episodes:

Transits coming soon…

Stephen Colbert & Jonathan Swift – Defenders of Satire with Gemini Moons

Although born centuries apart, these two men carry a karmic tie, not limited to merely their Irish heritage, but from society’s continued attraction toward their comedic approach to the problems facing the middle-class.

Jonathan Swift, born in Dublin, Ireland, and Stephen Colbert, born in Washington DC, are both known as some of the most profound satirists in history.  Swift’s mark in history stemmed from his essay A Modest Proposal: For Preventing the Children of Poor People in Ireland from Being a Burden to Their Parents or Country, and for Making Them Beneficial to the Public, more commonly known simply as A Modest Proposal.

Colbert has taken the shift in media to make a nightly show skewering and poking fun at politicians and pop culture issues.

Synastry Chart of Stephen Colbert (Red) & Jonathan Swift (blue) -no birth times

The one commonality between them both is their Gemini Moons.  Jonathan Swift’s Gemini Moon (blue wheel) is conjunct the north node and points towards a very active opposing Mercury in Sagittarius tied to a Sun/Venus conjunction, highlighting Swift as one of the world’s greatest prose satirists.  Colbert’s Moon (red wheel) is opposite alluring Lilith, drawing crowds of devoted fans on a nightly basis, naming him Captain America (amongst many of his titles), alluding to his Pluto in Virgo.

Vedic Delineation of Today’s Eclipse by Sam Geppi (Sadasiva)

Sam Geppi is a Certified Vedic Astrologer and Teacher through the American College of Vedic Astrology (level 2) as well as author of “The Ascendant – 108 Planets of Vedic Astrology”. He also has contributed to various Astrology publications.

Here is his delineation of the eclipse, discussing the effects on particular countries, namely Canada, with reference to beheadings.  In Canadian news yesterday, a beheading did occur ” Bus passenger beheaded seat mate, witness says“, giving Sam credit for the prediction.

Sam discusses this eclipse from a Vedic perspective, using the sidereal zodiac of fixed stars to determine the location of the planets, moving them approximately 24˚ backwards (ie. 25˚ Aries would move to 1˚ Aries).

The Book of World Horoscopes

Nick Campion: The Book of World Horoscopes

I found my copy of Nick Campion‘s The Book of World Horoscopes, which happened to contain the foundation charts of the major cities in the direct path of the August 1st, Eclipse, just mere days away.

Canada, Russia and China are getting activity in unique areas of their respective charts; Canada in the 11th & 12th houses, Russia in their 4th, 5th & 9th, and lastly China, with heavy 9th & 10th house influences.

*Note: Please be aware for the following charts that the green planets on the outer ring of each foundation chart represents the August 1st, 2008 Eclipse positions of the planets, there should be the Sun , Moon , Mercury  & Venus  in Leo , and Mars  & Saturn  in Virgo .

Eclipse of August 1st, 2008

Saturn keeps coming up on this blog, and I was discussing with someone that it signifies oil, as that is dead black stuff under the ground, and it comes up in the mars/saturn conjunction in Virgo, and the Leo/aquarius opposition.

As this chart begins in Nunavut (3rd and newest Territory in Canada), passes right over the Arctic Circle, goes exact over Nadym, Siberia, and tapers off in China.

Nick Campion’s “The Book of World Horoscopes” contains these charts, along with the transits of the August 1st, eclipse, beginning with Canada:

Dominion of Canada

Then we move on to the Formation of the Russian Federation:

USSR Formation

And lastly, China, with a difficult chart to choose from, seeing as how their origins as a country fall around the 2nd millenium BC. As the book gives three charts, the formation of the People’s Republic of China during the Chinese Peoples’ Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) in 1949 is the chosen chart [1]

The Moon’s Beating Heart

In the month of January we have the first full Moon of 2007. The internet is frantic with movies of the Moon’s phases throughout any given month. We are accustomed to examining its phases throughout the course of a cycle such as below:

In another approach to analyze the cycles of the Moon, http://www.pixheaven.net/ decided to illustrate the varying distances and wobble phases of each full Moon last year dating back 20 full Moons to May of 2005. The results they collected are below:

It is excellent that the Moon would not only inaugurate the year so quickly with this luminous full Moon, but also in its own domicile, . The below animation is built on the above images. When you stop to observe the difference between each full Moon, there is a definitive difference depending on each frame in proximity and libration.

The irregular elliptical orbit of the moon is intensified through this snapshot of each full moon, as the orbit is neither a perfect circle, or centered exactly around the earth.

The lunar apogee and perigee of the Moon is different in these shots, giving the impression of a beating heart. This might indicate a reason why some Full Moons are more intense in nature, corresponding to the environment, and the emotional sway of people. Does the Moon consistently beat stronger in certain signs? here is the amount of difference the size between the lunar apogee and perigee is:

The apogee and perigee are explained below. The Apogee is the farthest the Moon can be from the Earth, and the Perigee is the closest the Moon orbits to the earth.

In the end, not only can we view the waxing and waning appearance of the Moon and view her many faces in the course of a month, but now we can see and feel her pulse on the earth, over a longer period of time. If you are curious enough, review the listing of zodiac signs in which the moon was full, and see if you can pick up on which zodiac signs the Moon was the closest and the farthest. Were these heated times for society? This ‘beat’ that the Moon animates itself with, truly adds another facet to looking at the earth as a cosmic animal, with the Sun and Moon pumping and churning the earth’s mantel on a continual basis, much like the heart in our own bodies.

Love the Moon with all of your heart
